Datakami solves deeply technical generative AI problems for startups. We love working in the "R&D gap" between research labs and industry: taking what's new and turning it into AI systems that hold up in production. Datakami is run by Judith van Stegeren, together with a small network of senior engineers we know and trust.

Principal ML engineer
Judith researched GPT-2 in the early days of large language models, and has spent the last 5 years building AI products at early-stage startups. Her forte is turning MVPs into robust production-grade AI systems. She loves deeply technical problems, and has strong opinions on tokenmaxxing (nonsense!), data quality (important!) and vendor lock-in (prevent this!).
Judith holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Twente, where she researched text generation for video games. She is very happy she got to cite Art & Arcana and Knights of the Old Republic in her thesis.
